On many levels, I find that my time here in Memphis has certainly been a trip that I will remember.  I saw familiar faces, representing the Capital Region Blues Network, and took theMemphis 1-19-14 251Friday in Memphis...the woman's showcass 005 opportunity to listen to many of the talented musicians here for the International Blues Challenge..  I joked around with folks from Austrailia who had just left their continent with 100 degree weather and thrilled just for the opportunity to be in the States. I saw a 12 string left handed bass being played which was new to me . The youth represented here jammed right along with those that have been on stages all over the world.

I collected business cards, shared tables, and took in as many stories as I could absorb.  When not hearing the music pouring out of every venue, I took in bits and pieces of history and listened to acts that are here full time.

I was treated with friendliness and respect when asking for directions and good places to eat or to visit an event..   walking 1-25 in Memphis 010Memphis 1-19-14 334
