After a slight drizzle today everything seems fresh again. I found blossoms on tomatoes and Trenton’s flower beds filling in.
Bee balm is new for me this year and has a delightful smell. The more hummingbirds and bees the better.
The chickens take delight in escaping when I open up their door so I allow a few to hang out in the pen for the day. They are always ready to go back in by evening and chirp socially. The buff orpingtons have different colors of beige through their feathers, where the australorps have each a different marking. A couple have very outgoing personalities and I convince myself I know them from the rest. They do enjoy being held, and scratched on their chin.
