February Warmth

Blue sky.
Yours truly tracking.
Scratch and peck. Peck and scratch.
faithful ceramic chic holds her own. She looks on the trickle through the property.
A stone boundary ‘fence’ surrounds three quarters of the property. A goal is to rebuild it slowly all the way around. I will throw in some bulbs along the way and cut some brush back to give wild berry bushes a chance.

I do believe the day was next to perfect as I was able to enjoy an evening coffee on the back deck watching the sun go down sitting on my slider swing.  The sound of the creek and pond a few yards away and the trickle downhill through my property offers a constant reminder that the nourishing snow will now aid the soil and get it ready for planting.  My chickens dance around the yard, as if in celebration of this ordinary day in February.
